The Road Trip - North of Portugal - Braga

8th August
Braga - road trip 2 hour drive to Beaga. We visited the cathedral do Bom Jesus atop a hill. We took the off road steep route as we missed the  proper paved road route. Beautiful Cathedral which reminded me of the architecture of the staircase of the church in Panaji. Gareth and I went down the staircase and spotted tadpoles in the last font that he wanted to trap in his juice bottle and transfer them to a bigger waterbody.
Cooper made friends with the old lady who was collecting money to use the bathrooms. He kept saying 'Fala Portuguese' at least 15 times that drove Gareth crazy and sent me in splits hearing his cute words.

We also stopped by a small chapel on the Mont. Stayed over at a small lovely hotel called 'Bom Sucesso' that had a very nice manager who went out of his way to help us with our booking at the next destination Geres. His wife's family lived in Margao and came from an influential family of governors ❤️
